This is my 4th year of teaching Computer Science, as well as my 4th year at West Forsyth. I earned my Ed.S., M.A., and B.S. degrees in Mathematics from the University of Alabama. After college I taught Mathematics for several years, before becoming a Software Developer. I'm excited to now have the opportunity to combine my passions for teaching and Computer Science!
During my 25 years as a Software Developer, I worked for some large companies like McKesson and Roche Diagnostics, as well as small local companies like ChristmasLightsEtc and Jackson & Coker. I was recognized by Microsoft as an MVP and ASPInsider for my contributions to the .NET community, including having several articles published and speaking at local user groups.
I am happily married to Robbie Jones, a long-time teacher at Otwell Middle School, and I have two grown children - Tori is married and working on her degree, and Zack is working in Kennesaw. We love to travel, eat great food, enjoy the theater, hike mountain trails, and try new things. Unless we're just playing Scrabble, walking our dogs, or enjoying music or a good book. I have Aphantasia (All Senses) and SDAM.
